The new generation Passat will follow the Superb with a likely Auto Expo debut, but there is still no word on the 9th generation Honda Accord. Nor has there been reason for others like GM, Hyundai or Nissan to bring us their latest flagship sedans like the Malibu, next gen Sonata or Altima respectively – all bestsellers in multiple markets. But if the excitement (and buyer) returns to this segment it will not take long to get those and more nameplates in – including their hybrid or electric avatars.
